Position Overview

You lead and scale a young sales team into a nationwide growth engine. You design sales strategy, own revenue goals, and work directly with founders on market expansion. Your work turns a promising sales setup into a powerhouse that fuels the company’s next phase of growth.


Role & Responsibilities

  • You build and lead a high-performing sales team, scaling headcount from the current three members.
  • You recruit, train, and mentor tele-sales and on-ground executives across key regions.
  • You create a performance-driven culture based on accountability, energy, and execution.
  • You design and execute sales strategies that hit aggressive revenue and customer acquisition targets.
  • You manage tele-sales and on-ground channels, setting daily call targets and securing regional partnerships.
  • You optimise funnels, lead conversion, and pipeline tracking using data insights.
  • You collaborate with founders to align sales objectives with overall business goals.
  • You identify new market opportunities, institutional partnerships, and on-ground expansion strategies.
  • You develop scalable sales processes and incentive programs to sustain high performance.
  • You build a deep understanding of customer pain points, motivations, and decision triggers.
  • You partner with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and improve lead quality.
  • You ensure every customer interaction reflects the company’s mission and brand trust.


Must have Criteria

  • 4–8 years in sales leadership roles within tech, edtech, or high-growth startups
  • Proven expertise in tele-sales and on-ground sales operations
  • Ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity typical of startups
  • Ability to build, manage, and motivate geographically distributed sales teams
  • Data-driven decision-making with strong problem-solving and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities coupled with empathy and hustle
