Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Engineer, located in Morbi. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance of solar power production equipment and facilities. This includes designing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing maintenance schedules. The role also involves coordinating with other departments to improve overall production efficiency and maintain high standards of operational performance.

Technical & Equipment Expertise

• Expertise in maintaining

  solar PV module machinery

  like:
• Stringers
• Layup stations
• Laminators
• EL testers
• Sun simulators
• Framing & junction box machines
• Automatic conveyors and robotics
• Strong knowledge of

  electrical systems

  ,

  vacuum pumps

  ,

  heating elements

  , and

  PLC-based automation

  .

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Developing

  PM schedules

  to ensure zero breakdowns in high-precision machinery.
• Using

  condition monitoring systems

  (vibration analysis, thermal imaging, etc.).
• Applying

  TPM

  (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology.

Root Cause Analysis & Downtime Reduction

• Performing in-depth

  RCA

  for line stoppages and equipment failure.
• Implementing

  corrective actions

  to avoid reoccurrence.
• Reducing unplanned downtime using

  lean maintenance tools

  .

Team & Shift Management

• Leading a

  multi-shift maintenance team

  across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation domains.
• Training operators and junior engineers in

  autonomous maintenance

  practices.

Audit, Safety & Documentation

• Complying with

  ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001

  systems.
• Maintaining detailed records for

  machine history

  ,

  calibration

  , and

  EHS compliance

  .
• Conducting

  internal audits

  for machinery health and safety standards.

Inventory & Spares Management

• Managing

  critical spares

  for imported equipment (especially from Germany/China).
• Implementing

  reorder levels

  , vendor follow-ups, and local spares development.

Energy Management & Cost Control

• Identifying

  power-saving opportunities

  in ovens, laminators, compressors, etc.
• Monitoring and improving

  power factor

  and

  machine load balance

  .

New Equipment Installation & Commissioning

• Coordinating with OEMs during

  new line setup

  or capacity expansion.
• Ensuring smooth

  installation, FAT/SAT

  , and validation of new machinery.

Automation & CMMS Usage

• Operating and optimizing

  Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

• Integrating

  SCADA/PLC/HMI data
