Head of Global Procurement

The Head of Global Procurement is responsible for developing and leading the organization’s global procurement strategy to ensure cost efficiency, supply continuity, quality, and compliance. This role oversees sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement governance across all regions, aligning procurement objectives with overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Governance

• Develop and implement a global procurement strategy aligned with business objectives
• Establish procurement policies, standards, and governance frameworks across regions
• Drive category management strategies for direct and indirect spend

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization

• Lead global sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings and value creation
• Negotiate complex, high-value contracts with global suppliers
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, demand management, and process efficiency

Supplier & Contract Management

• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships at a global level
• Ensure supplier performance, quality, delivery, and risk management
• Oversee contract lifecycle management, compliance, and renewals

Global Operations & Risk Management

• Manage procurement operations across multiple geographies and business units
• Mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and market-related risks
• Ensure ethical sourcing, sustainability, and compliance with applicable regulations

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, Engineering, and Business Unit leaders
• Support capital projects, expansions, and major procurement programs
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on procurement and supplier strategy

Digital Transformation & Analytics

• Drive adoption of procurement technologies, ERP, and e-sourcing platforms
• Use data and analytics to track spend, savings, supplier performance, and KPIs
• Continuously improve procurement processes and capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 13+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Proven experience leading global or regional procurement functions
• Strong track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and cost optimization
• Experience managing large budgets and complex supplier ecosystems

The current leadership of the company has both domestic and global experience in building and running high performance Digital First, Service organizations and over 20+ years in the ITES sector.As we embark on taking WAISL to the next level and we focus on - larger revenue, a larger customer base (Growth Engine), enhanced portfolio (Managed Services, New Digital Services/Products, Airport Services Platform etc.) and building a strong Digital Team backed by a strong Engineering DNA of the Organization (People, System Engineering). Current revenues are at approx. US $50 million, largely secured by long-term contracts. Vision is to scale it up to $500 Mn in the next 5 years with a client portfolio of both domestic and global airports and related adjacencies.
