Role Overview

The Engineering Head will be responsible for driving the overall product vision and technology strategy in alignment with business goals. This leader will oversee cross-functional tech and product teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, timely delivery, and world-class user experience. The role demands strong technical depth, product-first thinking, and a hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead and manage cross-functional teams across product, engineering (frontend, backend, mobile), QA, design, and data.

• Define and drive the product and tech roadmap in collaboration with the CTO and business stakeholders. • Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of all platforms (web, mobile apps, backend services, etc.).

• Mentor engineering and product leaders, fostering a strong culture of innovation, quality, and accountability.

• Establish agile development processes and ensure timely and high-quality product releases.

• Translate business needs into robust product features and technical solutions with seamless user experience.

• Work closely with QA to enforce best testing practices and zero-bug release standards.

• Oversee the design team to ensure UI/UX aligns with user expectations and brand identity.

• Ensure efficient resource planning, team capacity alignment, and hiring of top talent.

• Leverage data to guide product decisions and prioritize improvements based on user insights and business impact.

• Collaborate with the CTO on technology strategy, tech debt management, and platform modernization.

• Strong DevOps experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD and Cloud automation.

Requirements:

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or related field; MBA is a plus.

• 10–14 years of overall experience in product and tech leadership roles, preferably in high-scale B2C or edtech environments.

• Proven track record of managing large cross-functional tech and product teams.

• Strong technical expertise in web, mobile (Android/iOS), and backend technologies.

• Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, agile methodologies, and product-market fit.

• Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational excellence and hands-on execution.
