Role Summary

We are looking for a high-ownership, hands-on Head of Engineering to lead the full development lifecycle of our multi-product enterprise software ecosystem. The organisation is building advanced platforms across FinanceTech, HRTech, and MobilityTech, with deep integration of AI, automation, and real-time analytics.

The role demands a strong technical leader who can drive architecture, manage engineering teams, guarantee delivery timelines, and implement AI at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Leadership

• Lead a 25–35 member in-house engineering team (Frontend, Backend, Mobile, DevOps, DB, QA, R&D).

• Establish a delivery-driven engineering culture with strong sprint discipline.

• Own architectural decisions, code quality, and engineering governance.

2. Product Architecture & Platform Scaling

• Architect scalable, secure, multi-tenant SaaS systems.

• Build modular microservice architectures with API-driven workflows.

• Ensure performance, reliability, and high availability across all products.

3. AI & Automation Implementation

• Lead AI-powered features such as:

• Data extraction & ML models

• NLP/LLM-based workflows

• Predictive analytics

• Automation of repetitive business processes

• Mentor team members in AI implementation and integration.

4. Delivery Ownership

• Own planning, sprints, releases, and timelines for multiple products running in parallel.

• Conduct weekly engineering reviews and ensure timely releases.

• Identify & remove blockers early and manage risks effectively.

5. Security, Compliance & Data Governance

• Implement secure coding, data privacy controls, and compliance frameworks.

• Drive standards for encryption, user access, audit trails, and data protection.

6. Team Development

• Recruit, mentor, and upskill engineers across all levels.

• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Introduce best practices in code reviews, DevOps, and automation.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• 10–15 years of engineering experience with minimum 4–5 years in a leadership role.

• Strong hands-on knowledge in:

• Python, FastAPI, Node.js, React

• Microservices, Cloud (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes

• AI/ML, NLP, OCR, LLM-based automation

• SQL/NoSQL databases, API integrations

• Experience building scalable SaaS or enterprise platforms.

Leadership Capabilities

• Ability to manage 20–40 member engineering teams.

• Strong planning, execution, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
