Head of Enabling Function

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources (CHRO Responsibilities)

  • Develop and lead the HR strategy aligned with the business objectives of a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Drive a high-performance culture with robust talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
  • Strengthen organizational design, change management, and leadership development programs.
  • Oversee all aspects of industrial relations, employee engagement, and statutory compliance.
  • Manage union negotiations and ensure harmonious labor-management relations.
  • Implement HR systems, policies, and processes that are scalable and technology-driven.
  • Drive DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and employee well-being initiatives.

Information Technology (IT Leadership Responsibilities)

  • Lead the IT strategy to support business operations, automation, and growth, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable digital infrastructure.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of ERP systems, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and other plant digital solutions.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity frameworks and data governance.
  • Identify and implement digital transformation initiatives for manufacturing excellence, including IoT, Industry 4.0, and data analytics.
  • Manage IT vendors, budgets, and technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure business continuity through disaster recovery planning and IT risk management.

Key Requirements

  • Education:

    MBA in HR / MS in Human Resources / PGDM + Degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering preferred.
  • Experience:

    15–20 years of progressive leadership experience across HR and IT functions in manufacturing or industrial setups.
  • Proven track record in managing plant-level HR operations, industrial relations, and technology-led transformation.
  • Strong understanding of factory compliance, statutory laws (Factories Act, Labor Laws), and IR practices.
  • Deep experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), automation tools, and digital plant technologies.
  • Strategic mindset with strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
