Head of Civil Engineering

Designation: Civil Head.

Location: Based on projects. (Currently will be based in Delhi)

Experience: 12 – 15 years

Salary Slab: upto 20 lakhs.

Profile: A Civil Head focuses on overseeing civil engineering projects, managing teams, ensuring compliance with budgets and regulations, liaising with stakeholders, and driving project success through strategic planning and problem-solving. Key responsibilities include project planning and execution, financial management, quality control, risk management, team leadership, and client coordination for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.  

Core Responsibilities

·      Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of civil projects, from planning and design to execution and completion, ensuring they meet technical specifications, timelines, and budgets. 

·      Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide a team of civil engineers and other technical staff, fostering a collaborative environment. 

·      Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure that projects are completed within financial constraints. 

·      Quality & Safety Assurance: Establish and implement quality control plans, conduct site inspections, and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards. 

·      Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key point of contact, coordinating effectively with clients, contractors, architects, regulatory agencies, and other professionals. 

·      Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance, conduct feasibility studies, review engineering designs, and resolve complex technical issues that arise. 

·      Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant legal requirements, building codes, permits, and environmental regulations. 

·      Reporting: Prepare and present detailed project reports, updates, and documentation to senior management and clients. 

Key Skills & Qualifications

·      Strong background in civil engineering with extensive experience in project management. 

·      Proven leadership and team management skills. 

·      Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 

·      Proficiency in project management software, CAD tools, and other relevant technology. 

·      Deep knowledge of construction processes, materials, safety regulations, and quality standards. 

·      A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, often with advanced qualifications and professional certifications like a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
