We’re seeking a Design Lead – Hybrid Plant Controller (PMC) for one of our key clients, to drive the engineering excellence behind hybrid renewable power plants combining Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this role, you’ll lead the design and integration of advanced Plant Master Controllers (PMC), the brain of hybrid plants, ensuring seamless coordination between PV, BESS, and grid systems. You’ll work at the intersection of SCADA, EMS, and grid integration, shaping control philosophies that meet the most demanding grid code and system operator requirements. ⛏️What You’ll Do: ✅Lead the design and development of Plant Master Controller (PMC) control philosophies, including power factor, voltage, VAR, ramp rate, and black-start control functions. ✅Design PMC response and grid-forming capabilities for standalone restoration and islanded operation. ✅Oversee PMC integration with SCADA, BMS, and substation control systems, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and utility standards. ✅Conduct vendor technical evaluations, review specifications, and support procurement with validation documentation. ✅Ensure on-time delivery of all engineering drawings, documentation, and vendor submittals within scope and budget. ✅Coordinate with cross-functional teams across AC design, site execution, supply chain, and clients ✅Lead and mentor a team of engineers and draughtspersons, ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables and adherence to standards. ✅Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases with technical clarifications and design inputs. 💭What You Bring: ⭐B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering. ⭐7–10 years of experience in PV, BESS, Hybrid Controller, and SCADA system design and integration. ⭐Proven expertise in power system control strategies, grid compliance, and hybrid renewable plant design. ⭐Strong working knowledge of IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC, and other industrial communication protocols. ⭐Experience in historian data analysis, alarm management, and cybersecurity for power systems. ⭐Prior exposure to Middle Eastern utility requirements and grid regulations. ⭐Proficiency in MS Office and relevant electrical design/simulation tools. ✉️What’s in It for You: • Be at the forefront of hybrid renewable technology, driving next-generation power control systems. • Collaborate with industry-leading experts and major utilities across the region. • Work on large-scale EPC renewable projects with real-world impact.
