Head of Business Planning

We are seeking an experienced finance and operations leader to join our team as Business Planning & Strategy - Head (Solar Manufacturing). The incumbent will oversee financial strategy, cost control, and operational efficiency for our solar manufacturing and renewable energy divisions. This role involves spearheading strategic planning, compliance, and performance monitoring to drive business excellence in line with RInfra's renewable energy goals.

The incumbent will oversee financial strategy, cost control, and operational efficiency for our solar manufacturing and renewable energy divisions.

Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize solar manufacturing operations, including Capex and Opex planning.
• Lead project finance activities, including structuring and negotiating agreements with financial institutions for large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Drive long-term pricing strategies for customer contracts in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making at CXO levels.

Operational Excellence:

• Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics such as production yield, cost of production, and raw material trends.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through process improvements, BOM optimization, and inventory utilization.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency, quality, and energy utilization in solar manufacturing.
• Ensure seamless operations across backward integration processes and JV entities within the solar ecosystem.

Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure compliance with GST, customs, and indirect tax laws applicable to solar manufacturing.
• Oversee statutory and internal audits, strengthen governance frameworks, and handle regulatory reporting.
• Manage exit or compliance processes for special manufacturing schemes, such as EOU or SEZ setups.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Build and mentor a high-performing finance and operations team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, and technical teams to align financial objectives with operational goals.
• Represent the organization in discussions with senior stakeholders, including government bodies and financial partners.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in finance and operations, with a strong focus on solar manufacturing, renewable energy, and compliance.
• Proven expertise in strategic planning, cost control, and driving operational excellence in large-scale manufacturing units.

Required Skills

• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP), project finance modeling, and advanced MS Office tools.
• Deep understanding of solar manufacturing processes, cost optimization, and operational benchmarking.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of compliance frameworks and indirect taxation for the renewable energy sector.
