The Head- ERP is responsible for the planning, implementation, integration, governance,
and continuous improvement of the University ERP system, ensuring seamless support to
academic, examination, accounts, HR, payroll, admissions, student lifecycle, and regulatory
reporting processes in compliance with various statutory bodies. The University’s ERP
environment is built on Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server, .NET
Framework, .NET Core, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 and Business Central.
Define and execute the ERP roadmap aligned with the University’s academic and
administrative strategy.
Act as the single point of ownership for all ERP modules and integrations.
Establish ERP governance frameworks, SOPs, data policies, and access controls.
Lead end-to-end ERP implementation, upgrades, and version migrations.
Ensure integration with:
o Admissions & Enrollment Systems
o Examination & Evaluation Systems
o HRMS & Payroll
o Finance & Accounts
o Library (LMS), Hostel, Transport
o Learning Management Systems (LMS)
o DigiLocker, ABC (Academic Bank of Credits), NAD, AISHE
Oversee ERP support for:
o Academic calendar setup
o Course, curriculum, and credit structures
o Examination scheduling, result processing, and grade workflows
o Transcript, degree, and certificate generation
Configure ERP reports and dashboards for:
o NAAC, NIRF, AISHE, UGC, AICTE, PCI, BCI, ICAR (as applicable)
Support audit readiness, statutory submissions, and data verification.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and real-time availability across modules.
Implement role-based access, audit trails, and data backup mechanisms.
Ensure compliance with the IT Act, data privacy norms, and university policies.
Liaison with:
o Registrar Office
o Examination Department
o HR, Finance, Academics
o Deans, HoDs, and Administrative Heads
Manage ERP vendors, system integrators, and AMC partners.
Finalise SLAs, review performance, and ensure timely issue resolution.
Control ERP budgets, licenses, and infrastructure costs.
Plan and conduct ERP training programs for faculty and staff.
Develop user manuals, FAQs, and SOP documentation.
Drive change adoption and minimise operational resistance.
Develop MIS dashboards for:
o Academic performance
o Student lifecycle tracking
o HR & finance analytics
Support leadership with data-driven decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering
Master’s degree / MBA (Systems / IT) – Preferred
10–15 years of experience in ERP/ IT Systems
Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role in a University/ Education ERP
Hands-on experience with University ERP platforms
University academic & administrative process knowledge

Regulatory reporting & compliance systems
Project & vendor management
Data analytics & MIS reporting
Stakeholder communication & leadership
Problem-solving and decision-making
