Role: Head of Digital Marketing & Ecommerce (Green Fintech & Solar)

Your goal is to build a high-conversion engine that drives direct sales through our website and scales our presence across major e-commerce marketplaces.


Key Responsibilities

1. Performance Marketing & Customer Acquisition

  • Meta & Google Ads:

    Lead the strategy for high-intent lead generation and D2C sales. You will optimize campaigns for "Solar-as-a-Service" or "Fintech-enabled purchasing," focusing on ROAS and lowering CAC.
  • Funnel Optimization:

    Design and manage the digital sales funnel, from initial awareness to the financing application and final checkout.

2. D2C & Marketplace Management

  • Ecommerce Strategy:

    Own the end-to-end D2C experience on our website, ensuring the "Solar + Financing" bundles are easy to understand and purchase.
  • Marketplace Growth:

    Drive sales and visibility on marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, local specialty solar marketplaces), managing product listings, ratings, and marketplace-specific advertising.

3. Social Media & Influencer Marketing

  • Brand Storytelling:

    Oversee our social media presence to educate the market on solar ROI and fintech benefits.
  • Influencer Partnerships:

    Build a network of "Green-tech" influencers, financial educators, and lifestyle creators to build trust and drive referral traffic.

4. Website, SEO & Content

  • Search Authority:

    Execute an aggressive SEO strategy targeting high-value keywords in the solar and green-finance space.
  • UX/UI Oversight:

    Ensure the website is optimized for conversion, particularly the integrated fintech calculators and credit application workflows.

5. Martech & Automation Strategy

1. Lead & Lifecycle Automation

  • High-Intent Lead Nurturing: Build automated "Solar ROI" drip sequences (using Klaviyo or HubSpot) that educate leads based on their specific stage—from initial curiosity to credit application for solar financing.
  • Immediate Response (Speed-to-Lead): Implement AI-powered SMS and WhatsApp triggers (via Attentive or Intercom) to contact new leads within 5 minutes of a form fill, significantly increasing conversion rates in the competitive solar market.
  • Credit-Based Branching: Create logic-based workflows that segment customers based on their financial eligibility, delivering personalized "Fintech-first" or "Product-first" messaging.

2. The Martech Stack (Architecture)

  • Analytics & Attribution: Deploy GA4 and Microsoft Clarity (heatmapping) to track the friction points in the complex solar financing application process.
  • CRM Integration: Ensure seamless data flow between the website (front-end), the Fintech credit engine (back-end), and the CRM (e.g., Salesforce or Zoho) for real-time lead routing.
  • Personalization Engine: Utilize tools like Dynamic Yield or Nosto to show different website experiences based on the user's location (solar potential) and browsing behavior.


Specific Fintech & Solar Requirements

  • Lead Quality:

    In the solar world, volume isn't enough. You must be able to filter and qualify leads to ensure high conversion for the sales team.
  • Compliance & Trust:

    Experience in Fintech marketing is crucial; you must understand how to market financial products (loans/credits) within regulatory guidelines while building high consumer trust.
  • Complex Sale Cycles:

    Ability to market products that have a high price point and require consumer education.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience:

    7+ years in Digital Marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within

    Fintech, EdTech, or High-Ticket D2C

  • Technical Proficiency:

    Mastery of

    Google Ads Manager

  • Deep experience with

  • Knowledge of Ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento) and Marketplace backends.
  • Analytical Prowess:

    Ability to build complex attribution models to understand how social awareness impacts search conversions.
  • Creative Eye:

    Ability to brief creative teams on producing "thumb-stopping" content that simplifies complex solar/finance concepts.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Direct Revenue:

    Total sales via D2C website and Marketplaces.
  • Lead Generation:

    Cost per Qualified Lead (CPQL) for solar financing and B2B Sales.
  • Organic Growth:

    Increase in non-paid traffic and domain authority.
  • Retention:

    Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) and referral rates.
