Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Gurugram for a Head Chef at Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters. The Head Chef will oversee and manage daily kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food quality, and develop innovative menus that align with the brand ethos. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, managing food costs, maintaining hygiene and safety protocols, and collaborating with management to optimize operational efficiency. The Head Chef will also play a key role in training and mentoring the culinary team and ensuring an excellent customer dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

🔸 Lead day-to-day operations of the bakery kitchen

🔸 Develop and execute a diverse range of bakery products—artisan breads, viennoiserie, pastries, cakes, cookies, and seasonal items

🔸 Oversee recipe development, costing, and standardization

🔸 Train, mentor, and manage the baking team to ensure high performance

🔸 Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and quality control standards

🔸 Monitor inventory, procurement, and production planning

🔸 Collaborate with management on menu innovation, pricing, and customer feedback

🔸 Ensure consistent product quality and timely production


Requirements

✔ Proven experience as a Head Chef / Bakery Chef with strong bakery-focused expertise

✔ In-depth knowledge of artisan bread-making, fermentation, laminated doughs, and pastry techniques

✔ Strong leadership and team management skills

✔ Creativity in product development and menu innovation

✔ Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment

✔ Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance

✔ Excellent communication and organizational skills
