About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Testing Engineer to join our R&D team in developing and validating the next generation of PERT Home Automation products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hardware testing, strong problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure reliable and high-performance devices for smart homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans for hardware components and embedded systems used in home automation devices.
  • Conduct functional, performance, stress, and reliability testing on PCB assemblies, sensors, actuators, and IoT-enabled hardware.
  • Perform environmental and compliance testing (temperature, humidity, EMI/EMC, power cycling, etc.) to ensure safety and regulatory standards.
  • Identify, analyze, and document hardware defects with root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to ensure hardware quality from prototype to production stage.
  • Set up and maintain test benches, fixtures, and measurement tools for effective testing.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, logs, and technical documentation.
  • Support field testing, troubleshooting, and validation of deployed hardware in real-world environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics fundamentals, PCB architecture, sensors, and actuators.
  • Experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols like Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, BLE, and RS-485.
  • Understanding of environmental and compliance standards (e.g., CE, RoHS, UL).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automation of hardware testing.
  • Exposure to firmware debugging and embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of smart home ecosystems and IoT frameworks.

Pay: ₹9,345.48 - ₹10,000.00 per month
