Description

Position Overview

  • The Hospital Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospital to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, efficient use of resources, compliance with healthcare regulations, and a safe, supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors. 
  • The role involves strategic planning, financial management, staff leadership, and coordination between medical and administrative departments.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate hospital services, including medical, administrative, and support functions.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Monitor patient care standards and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee facility management, including safety, cleanliness, and equipment availability.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Optimize procurement, inventory, and vendor contracts.
  • Analyze financial reports and recommend strategies for operational efficiency.

Human Resource Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise hospital staff across departments.
  • Foster teamwork, staff development, and continuous education.
  • Address staffing needs, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote employee well-being, motivation, and retention.

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and implement hospital policies, procedures, and long-term plans.
  • Lead performance reviews, audits, and risk management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, physicians, and external stakeholders.
  • Drive digital transformation and adoption of healthcare technologies.

Patient & Community Engagement

  • Ensure patient satisfaction and handle escalated complaints.
  • Promote a patient-centered culture emphasizing empathy and respect.
  • Build relationships with community partners, government agencies, and healthcare organizations.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in healthcare management or hospital administration.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and accreditation processes.
  • Proficiency in financial management and hospital information systems.
