Role Overview

We are seeking a Game Designer who can transform high-level game concepts into polished, fun, and engaging gameplay experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design systems, levels, mechanics, and experiences that resonate with players and align with the game’s vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document gameplay mechanics, systems, game loops, and monetization strategies.
• Create balanced and engaging levels, missions, quests, and in-game challenges.
• Collaborate closely with developers, artists, and producers to implement and fine-tune designs in-engine.
• Analyze playtest data and user feedback to iterate and enhance game experiences.
• Ensure gameplay aligns with narrative, tone, and player psychology.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new features and game ideas.
• Maintain up-to-date design documents (GDD, wireframes, specs).

Required Skills & Qualifications

✔ Strong understanding of game design principles, pacing, and user engagement.

✔ Ability to ideate core mechanics from a basic product overview.

✔ Experience in writing design documents and building wireframes or mockups.

✔ Familiarity with balancing mechanics for difficulty, progression, and retention.

✔ Proficient in tools like Photoshop, Canva, Figma, Excel/Google Sheets, Firebase, and Amplitude.

✔ Experience with Confluence, Google Docs, Notion for documentation.

✔ Comfortable using Jira or similar task-tracking tools.

✔ Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

✔ 3+ years of experience in game design or a related role, or equivalent portfolio.

✔ Experience in level design, game economy balancing, or live ops

Bonus (Nice to Have)

⭐ Familiarity with Unity or similar game engines

⭐ Understanding of monetization models like F2P, premium, and hybrid

⭐ Scripting knowledge (e.g., C#, Blueprints, or visual scripting)

⭐ Passion for specific game genres aligned with SPAAK’s mobile gaming goals

⭐ UI/ UX knowledge will be great too.
