PurpleMerit is looking for talented, driven individuals to join us as Full Stack Developer Interns. This program is designed for those who want hands-on project experience in building web and mobile products within a high-growth AI startup. You’ll collaborate in an agile team, work on live product features, and gain exposure to scalable system architectures and cutting-edge AI integrations.

What You’ll Do

• Build and deploy full-stack web applications and mobile apps from concept to launch.
• Design and maintain Chrome extensions, PWAs, and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) for seamless frontend-backend integration.
• Architect scalable solutions prioritizing maintainability, security, and performance.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWT, sessions, role-based access).
• Integrate AI tools and APIs for product innovation and operational efficiency.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB): schema, indexing, security.
• Write efficient, reusable code with testing and documentation.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize production issues for speed and reliability.
• Collaborate actively with designers and product managers to deliver impactful features.
• Document technical decisions, deliverables, and deployment processes.
• Handle hosting, domain management, and cloud deployments (end-to-end).
• Stay updated on new technologies; proactively contribute technical ideas.
• Self-manage deadlines and tasks in a remote-first, startup culture.

Core Skills

• Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security)
• JavaScript​: React.js, Angular, Node.js, Express.js
• Python: Flask/Django (bonus)
• RESTful APIs, microservices, and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT)
• SQL (PostgreSQL) & NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
• Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) app development (preferred but optional)
• Experience with integrating AI APIs and prompt engineering (nice to have)
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset

• Ownership of entire product lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum recommended: Laptop with 8GB RAM.

• Fixed work timings: 9:00 AM–6:30 PM IST, Monday–Friday.

• Must use own devices; no assets provided.
• Freelancing or external work during internship strictly prohibited.
• Reliable remote communication and teamwork skills.
