migrating our backend from Firebase to a robust Express.js + MongoDB architecture with Amazon S3 storage integration

Key Responsibilities

Lead the
backend migration
from Firebase to Express.js + MongoDB with seamless data transfer and system stability.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable
REST APIs
for user, streamer, and admin modules.
Work with
Amazon S3
for handling media storage (images, videos, documents).
Collaborate with mobile app developers to integrate APIs into the
Lula User App
and
Streamer App
.
Build and enhance features on the
Admin Panel
for reporting, analytics, and content management.
Optimize application performance, security, and real-time communication (calls, coin deductions, commission tracking).
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment cycles.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with
Express.js, Node.js, and MongoDB
.
Proficiency in
frontend frameworks
(React / React Native preferred).
Experience working with
Amazon S3
for media storage.
Prior experience in
system migration projects
(Firebase to custom backend a plus).
Strong understanding of
authentication, authorization, and payment flows
.
Ability to design scalable backend architecture for
real-time calling and credit/coin-based systems
.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with
Socket.io / WebRTC
for real-time calling.
Familiarity with
GetStream / Agora
for chat and video.
Knowledge of
AWS services
beyond S3.
Mango DB knowledge is must
