💼 Job Title: Business Development Manager Franchise (fashion Retail)

Location: Rajpura ( Travel Required )


🔑 Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities


I. Franchise Sales & Revenue Targets

• Expansion Targets: Consistently meet or exceed aggressive annual targets for new franchise agreements signed and retail store units opened across targeted markets.


• Lead Funnel Management: Strategically manage the entire sales pipeline from initial lead generation (trade shows, brokers, digital) through qualification, due diligence, and final deal closure.


• Financial Negotiation: Negotiate favorable franchise terms, including initial fees, royalty structure, and development schedules, ensuring alignment with the brand's long-term financial model.


II. Retail Site & Design Compliance

• Site Selection Vetting: Work directly with the franchisee and the Real Estate team to evaluate and approve potential retail locations based on brand criteria (e.g., foot traffic, demographics, co-tenancy, visibility).


• Design Oversight: Ensure the franchisee adheres strictly to the brand's store design, layout, and visual merchandising guidelines throughout the build-out phase.


• Launch Readiness: Manage the final handover process, confirming that the store meets all corporate operational standards, initial inventory stocking is complete, and POS systems are functional prior to the grand opening.


III. Franchisee Quality & Compliance

• Partner Vetting: Conduct rigorous vetting, including financial assessments, background checks, and cultural fit evaluation, to ensure the recruitment of high-caliber retail operators.


• Legal Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with all relevant franchise laws and regulations during the recruitment process, utilizing the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) correctly.


IV. Cross-Functional Onboarding & Support

• Project Management: Lead the internal project team (Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, Training) to ensure a streamlined and on-time store opening process.

V. Reporting & Strategy


🌟 Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Franchise Sales or Business Development, specifically within the retail sector (e.g., apparel, consumer goods, specialty retail).


Key Skills & Competencies:

• Deep understanding of retail real estate, site selection criteria, and store build-out phases.

• Expert negotiation and persuasive presentation skills.

• Proficient user of CRM software for managing a complex sales pipeline.

• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination abilities.
