Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities: Accounting Operations Management: * Oversee and manage various accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. •Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries and financial transactions. Issue Identification and Resolution: •Identify and analyze accounting and financial issues, providing timely and effective solutions. •Implement corrective actions to address discrepancies and improve financial processes. Month-End and Year-End Close: •Support and manage the month-end and year-end close processes. •Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting and reconciliations. Quality Control: •Implement and manage quality control measures for financial transactions and reporting. •Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Financial Statement Preparation: •Produce accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS or local GAAPs. •Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness. Regulatory Reporting: •Coordinate the preparation and submission of regulatory reports. •Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements. Tax Filings and Compliance: •Manage and ensure compliance with tax reporting and filing requirements. •Oversee the preparation and submission of local, state, and federal tax returns. Policy and Procedure Development: •Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures. •Ensure adherence to established policies and recommend improvements. Audit Support: •Provide support for statutory and quarterly audits. •Ensure timely preparation and availability of documentation required for audit processes. Process Improvement: •Lead and drive process improvement initiatives within the accounting and finance functions. •Identify areas for efficiency gains and implement best practices. Qualifications: •Qualified Chartered accountant with relevant experience of 3 years •Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAPs, and regulatory reporting requirements. •Experience with financial systems and accounting software. •Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. •Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. •Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
