The Data Tech Labs Hiring - Analyst – Lease Accounting Qualifications 1-3 years of relevant work experience Reporting and MIS Skills along with good analytical skill Strong accounting knowledge Graduate/Post-Graduate in Commerce Knowledge of Australian Telecom Industry Share your profile at ashwini.gore@tdtl.world Responsibilities Take ownership of IFRS16 Lease Accounting processing, accounting and reporting Work with the Manhattan vendor to ensure that VHA accounting and reporting requirements are supported by the system Liaise with operational teams to ensure that their processes support the ongoing data requirements of IFRS, and do not adversely impact our lease valuation processes Develop and document accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely valuation of leases, and release of liability and ROU Assets to the P&L over the life of the leases Support shareholder reporting requirements, which include financial reporting of VHA results incorporating IFRS16, and a pre-IFRS16 view Implement reliable reconciliation processes, which can be handed over to offshore operations teams to manage once bedded in Work with the Manhattan vendor, Finance Systems and Operations teams to ensure that lease payment and accounting solutions and processes work smoothly Recommend improvements to streamline processes and provide input to planning processes regarding financial impacts of the new standard Interact with internal teams and third parties for business query resolution. Interact with Local market leadership for agreeing and exceeding the expectations Interact with the Leadership team within VSSI for delivering on the expectations from the Team Ensure that all team-based tasks are completed with accuracy and timeliness, all processing routines adhere to approval requirements, integrity levels, use of best practice and their meeting of specified Service Level Agreements Challenge the status Quo and proactively provide the ideas for improvement of the process Be the change agent and suggest ways to improve the process which will impact the business needs Bring in ideas to simplify and standardize the activities for raising the benchmark for team activities Show more Show less
