Financial Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst with a strong commerce background to provide actionable financial insights, drive budgeting processes, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will excel in income statement analysis, variance analysis, financial projections, and budgeting, ensuring our e-commerce business remains financially robust and competitive.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze income statements, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to support business performance.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing clear explanations for deviations.
• Lead the development of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts, collaborating with department heads to align with business objectives.
• Build and maintain financial models to project revenue, costs, and profitability, incorporating e-commerce-specific metrics such as customer acquisition costs and average order value.
• Produce regular and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management, presenting complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to e-commerce, such as gross margin, operating expenses, and cash flow, to ensure financial health.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and implement best practices in financial planning.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and supply chain, to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8- 10 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in an e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods environment.
• Experience in analyzing e-commerce-specific metrics, such as conversion rates, cart abandonment, and customer lifetime value
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities.
• Good hands on MS Excel. VBA Macros, Power BI, SQL will be an added advantage.
