Financial Analyst

Job Summary

The FP&A will play a critical role in driving financial performance by preparing budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports. This role involves close collaboration with business leaders across departments to ensure financial efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and long-term growth alignment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial modeling, and a passion for optimizing business performance through numbers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Budgeting

· Develop, consolidate, and manage annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling financial plans.

· Partner with business heads to align financial plans with strategic and operational goals.

· Monitor spending patterns and ensure budgetary control across departments.

· Conduct variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, providing actionable insights.

2. Financial Analysis & Reporting

· Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

· Analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability by verticals, markets, and products.

· Identify performance drivers and recommend strategic initiatives for cost optimization and margin improvement.

· Support leadership with data-driven insights for decision-making and board presentations.

3. Strategic & Business Partnering

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing, HR, Tech) to translate business plans into financial outcomes.

· Provide financial guidance on new initiatives, partnerships, and expansion projects.

· Develop business cases and financial models for new investments, pricing strategies, and ROI analysis.

4. Process Improvement & Automation

· Enhance accuracy and efficiency of financial forecasting and reporting processes.

· Work with technology and analytics teams to automate dashboards and improve data visibility.

· Support implementation of ERP or BI tools to strengthen financial monitoring.

5. Compliance & Governance

· Ensure financial discipline and adherence to internal control policies.

· Support internal and external audit requirements with timely data and documentation.

· Maintain data accuracy and confidentiality in all reporting and analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or Accounting.

· MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA preferred.

Experience:

· 4+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgeting, or Corporate Finance.

· Prior experience in a high-growth startup, edtech, or service-based organization preferred.

Technical Skills:

· Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.

· Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical/reporting tools.

· Working knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP software).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,933.00 per month
