Finance & Accounts Head - Real Estate / Construction

Job Title: Head of Finance & Accounts – Real Estate Location: Lucknow Department: Finance & Accounts Experience: 15+ years in finance, with 5+ years in a leadership role in real estate or construction preferred Qualification: CA Job Purpose: To lead and manage the finance and accounts function of the organization, ensuring strong financial management, compliance, planning, and strategic decision-making support aligned with business goals in the real estate sector. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management & Planning Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with corporate objectives. Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Monitor cash flows and ensure liquidity for project execution. 2. Accounting & Compliance Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements as per applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS). Oversee all accounting operations including payables, receivables, payroll, and general ledger. Ensure compliance with tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and statutory audits. 3. Fund Management Manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, and investors to raise funds (project finance, term loans, working capital). Oversee debt servicing, loan documentation, and fund utilization. 4. Cost Control & Profitability Monitor project budgets and cost controls. Analyze margins, pricing, and project profitability. Recommend measures for cost optimization and operational efficiency. 5. Risk Management & Controls Establish internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent financial misstatements. Assess and mitigate financial and operational risks. 6. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance and accounts team. Implement systems and processes for efficient workflow and reporting. 7. Strategic Decision Support Support management with MIS reports, dashboards, financial models, and business insights. Participate in feasibility analysis of new projects and investment decisions. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of real estate finance, RERA compliance, and construction accounting. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Strategic thinking with attention to detail.
