Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Field Application Engineer to provide advanced application and design support for power electronics products across the North India region. This position will be based in New Delhi and requires up to 40% travel within the territory to support customers, distributors, and key partners.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in switch-mode power supply (SMPS) design, AC/DC and DC/DC converter topologies, and magnetic component design. This role combines hands-on engineering work with customer engagement, technical problem-solving, and collaboration with global field and application teams to drive design wins and accelerate revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide design and application support for customer projects, including schematic design, prototyping, and testing of power converter circuits.
• Conduct regular customer visits independently or in coordination with regional sales to offer design recommendations and technical support.
• Deliver direct technical assistance to key accounts and manage assigned customers for project success and technical satisfaction.
• Keep customers informed on the latest product developments and provide demo boards, technical documentation, and engineering reports.
• Analyze competitive solutions, identify performance gaps, and support sales in articulating product value propositions for design wins.
• Collaborate closely with global application engineering teams to support customer projects and share best practices.
• Generate and document innovative design concepts and contribute engineering reports for the technical knowledge base.
• Coordinate with sales to set design win priorities and ensure fast time-to-revenue execution.
• Review project progress weekly or bi-weekly and align development milestones with regional business objectives.
• Conduct technical training sessions, seminars, and workshops for distributors, partners, and customers to strengthen technical engagement.

Qualifications:

• Strong foundational knowledge of SMPS principles and power conversion topologies.
• Proven experience in AC/DC and DC/DC converter design, testing, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience designing magnetic components, including transformers, common-mode chokes, and inductors.
• Ability to debug circuits, perform root cause analysis, and recommend design improvements.
• Proficiency in design and simulation tools for power circuit analysis.
• Experience conducting detailed bill-of-materials (BOM) cost and performance analyses.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales and contribute to technical sales strategies.

Education:

• Master’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 6–8 years of experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 6–8 years of experience in SMPS design and development.
