Role Overview

This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives at the intersection of fashion and function. You’ll be both the face of the brand on the shop floor, offering styling guidance and customer service. And the engine behind the scenes, managing inventory on Shopify, coordinating local logistics, and maintaining operational flow. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, is digitally savvy, and understands both retail experience and backend discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Customer Experience

• Greet walk-in customers and offer styling, fit, and fabric guidance
• Educate customers about Saphed’s design philosophy and sustainability practices
• Maintain store cleanliness, display, and visual merchandising standards
• Process orders, exchanges, and returns via Shopify POS
• Engage meaningfully with tourists, locals, and repeat customers alike
• Collect feedback and relay insights to the central team

Operations & Inventory

• Operate the Shopify backend: product uploads, price updates, stock adjustments
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records and generate Excel reports
• Conduct daily/weekly stock reconciliations
• Coordinate incoming shipments from warehouse to Goa store
• Pack and dispatch online orders placed for the Goa region
• Liaise with local delivery partners and logistics teams
• Maintain supplies and track consumables (bags, tags, stationery, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience in fashion retail or e-commerce
• Working knowledge of Shopify (backend and POS preferred)
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Fluent in English; Hindi, Konkani or Marathi is a plus
• Highly organised, accountable and comfortable with multitasking
• A good eye for design and presentation
• Comfortable working weekends and seasonal retail hours

Bonus Points If You

• Have prior experience in a D2C or startup environment
• Understand basic content uploading, order fulfillment, and product tagging in Shopify
• Can handle packaging with an eye for detail
• Are resourceful and solutions-oriented, especially in Goa’s unique working environment
