Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Production Merchandiser to oversee the production lifecycle, including fabric procurement, order processing, inventory management, and quality control. This role requires someone experienced in managing junior merchandisers, cutting masters, and tailoring units. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth production operations, maintain high-quality standards, and lead a team towards operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management

    : Lead and manage a team of junior merchandisers, cutting masters and tailors. Provide guidance, assign tasks, and ensure efficient workflows.
  • Fabric Procurement & Management

    : Source and procure fabrics, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Conduct quality checks on incoming fabrics and maintain detailed records. Maintain an updated inventory of fabric and track its usage history.
  • Production Coordination

    : Oversee order processing and manage end-to-end production activities. Allocate work to cutting masters and tailoring units, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Inventory & Order Management

    : Maintain inventory records of fabric and finished pieces. Track production progress and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels.
  • Quality Control

    : Conduct thorough quality checks at all production stages, ensuring finished pieces meet Saphed’s design and quality standards. Address any quality-related issues promptly.
  • Process Optimization

    : Streamline production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Develop SOPs for production and supply chain operations.
  • Vendor Coordination

    : Liaise with suppliers and vendors for fabric and other production requirements.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Management, Production, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in production or supply chain management, preferably in textiles.
  • Proven track record of managing teams, including cutting masters and tailors.
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, stitching processes, and production workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management tools and software.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
