Job Title: Factory Merchandizer – Captive Factory (Knits & T-Shirts) Location: TIRUPPUR Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Merchandising Head to lead and manage the merchandising function for our captive factory, specializing in T-shirts and other knitwear products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end merchandising, from order planning to execution, ensuring smooth coordination between buyers, production, and other key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1. Merchandising & Order Management Lead the merchandising function, ensuring seamless order execution from development to final shipment. Coordinate with buyers, internal teams, and suppliers to manage timelines and ensure order fulfillment. Oversee costing, order placements, and approvals while optimizing margins. 2. Production Coordination & Execution Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery. Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) reports, production status, and shipment schedules. Address and resolve any bottlenecks in production to avoid delays. 3. Vendor & Supplier Management Manage relationships with fabric suppliers, trims & accessory vendors, and external service providers. Negotiate pricing and delivery terms to maintain cost efficiency and quality. Ensure timely approvals of fabric and trims to avoid production delays. 4. Quality & Compliance Ensure all orders meet the required quality standards and compliance regulations. Work with QA teams to resolve quality-related issues proactively. Ensure adherence to customer compliance and factory standards. 5. Data & Reporting Maintain order tracking reports, T&A calendars, and dashboards for better visibility. Present reports on order status, production updates, and challenges to management. Identify trends and provide insights for process improvements. Key Requirements Experience: 8-12 years in merchandising, preferably in knits and T-shirts. Industry Exposure: Must have experience working with captive factories or large-scale manufacturing units. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Knowledge of fabric, trims, garment construction, and costing. Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and merchandising software. Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile/Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related fields. Show more Show less
