Job Description

Key Responsibility :

Filing and processing Bills of Entry (for imports), preparing and verifying documents like invoices, packing lists, and HSN codes.
Submitting documents and data through the ICEGATE / EDI system and ensuring timely data entry.
Calculating and assisting in the payment of customs duties, IGST, Cess, and other charges.
Liaising with freight forwarders, transporters, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure timely cargo clearance.
Staying up-to-date and ensuring adherence to all customs regulations, DGFT policies, and other import/export laws.
Keeping clients and internal departments informed about clearance status and documentation issues.
Must hold valid G Card, which is an identity card for customs representation
A strong understanding of the Customs Act, 1962, the Customs Tariff Act, and other relevant laws and procedures is essential.
Proficiency in preparing, verifying, and filing all required import documents.
Familiarity with customs software and online filing systems like ICEGATE, FSSAI, AQCS..
Excellent coordination and communication skills to manage multiple parties and resolve issues.
Timely completion of all activities in the system to achieve service excellence
Follow set SOP for customers / Department.
