The Internship Opportunity: We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and proactive Event Coordinator Intern to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 0-1 year of experience looking to gain hands-on experience in end-to-end event management across a diverse portfolio. You will play a crucial role in supporting events under both The Thursday Thing (community-focused, entrepreneurial) and U2CA Consultants (corporate, industry-specific, strategic) banners. Key Responsibilities (You'll learn and assist with): Event Planning Support: Assist in conceptualizing, planning, and creating timelines for various events. Logistics Coordination: Help with venue research, vendor communication (caterers, AV, etc.), and logistical arrangements. Attendee Engagement: Support registration processes, manage attendee lists, respond to inquiries, and help ensure a positive experience for participants. Marketing & Communication Assistance: Collaborate on creating event promotional materials, drafting communications, and updating event listings. On-Site Event Assistance: Provide support during events, including setup, registration desk management, liaising with vendors, and helping to ensure smooth execution. Vendor & Stakeholder Communication: Assist in communicating with speakers, partners, and other stakeholders. Post-Event Support: Help with gathering feedback, compiling simple reports, and organizing event-related documentation. Administrative Tasks: Support the team with event-related administrative duties as needed. What We're Looking For: Experience: 0-1 year of work experience. Prior internship experience in events, marketing, or administration is a plus, but not mandatory. Passion for Events: A genuine interest in event management and a desire to learn. Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time-management abilities with a keen eye for detail. Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills. Proactive & Eager to Learn: A self-starter attitude, willingness to take initiative, and enthusiasm for learning new things. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Basic Tech Skills: Comfortable using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning new software/tools. Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
