About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced ERPNext professional to lead the end-to-end implementation of ERPNext for our construction and infrastructure business. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on knowledge of all ERPNext modules, with a core focus on accounting and financial management tailored to the construction industry.

This is a leadership and execution role, responsible for aligning ERP workflows to project-based construction operations, managing full implementation lifecycle, and delivering a system that enables real-time control over project costing, financials, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

ERPNext Project Leadership

  • Lead complete ERPNext implementation for construction/infrastructure operations.
  • Gather business requirements, map processes, and design ERP solutions accordingly.
  • Configure and deploy core modules:
  • Accounting & Finance (main focus)
  • Projects
  • HR & Payroll
  • Procurement & Inventory
  • Sales & Subcontracting
  • Asset Management
  • Ensure smooth go-live and post-implementation support.

Construction Accounting & Finance

  • Set up project-wise accounting, cost centers, and budget controls.
  • Configure job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, and retention handling.
  • Manage subcontractor billing, milestone-based invoicing, and advance adjustments.
  • Oversee multi-company & multi-currency accounting if required.
  • Generate real-time project profitability reports, cost variance, and cash flow tracking.
  • Ensure tax compliance (GST/VAT/WHT/TDS) and prepare for audit readiness.

Cross-Functional ERP Integration

  • Integrate accounting with procurement, inventory, HR, payroll, and operations.
  • Automate workflows like purchase to pay, project approvals, and timesheet-based costing.
  • Support fixed asset accounting and project asset capitalization.

Training & Documentation

  • Train finance, project, and admin teams on ERP workflows.
  • Prepare SOPs, user manuals, and change management documentation.
  • Act as the go-to ERP expert for ongoing support, upgrades, and process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of ERPNext implementation experience, including full-cycle projects.
  • Strong expertise in construction/infrastructure project accounting.
  • Deep functional knowledge of ERPNext’s finance, projects, and procurement modules.
  • Proven experience handling:
  • Project-based costing
  • Retention and advance payments
  • Subcontractor financials
  • Milestone-based revenue recognition
  • Ability to lead end-to-end ERP projects independently.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and training skills.

Preferred / Good to Have

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Engineering (CA / CPA / MBA Finance preferred).
  • Experience in infrastructure, EPC, civil contracting, or real estate firms.
  • Knowledge of Frappe framework, Python scripting, or ERPNext customization (optional).
  • Exposure to TDS, RCM, GST compliance (India or relevant regional taxes).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
