Position Summary
Level: Consultant or equivalent
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
Work you’ll do:
Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

Engineering as a Service provides complete design, implementation, and technology operations, leveraging our core engineering expertise. We transform engineering teams, modernize technology, and deliver complex programs with a product engineering approach. Our flexible delivery models —traditional teams, pools, or pods—are tailored to each client’s needs, offering engineering-led advisory, implementation, and operational capabilities to accelerate innovation.
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 3 – 6 years of hands-on experience in Tech Modernization Advisory: Advise, design and implementation of technology solutions, devising strategies and roadmap for IT landscape modernization through application rationalization, business case, workload assessments, vendor selection, etc.
- Product Engineering Transformation & Management: Managing product-driven transformations, defining product vision and backlog, designing product operating models, establishing governance & processes, and drive agile delivery for tech products and platforms
- Product Operating Model: Evaluating and shaping product / technology operating models, with the ability to identify structural gaps and design improvements that enhance governance, cross-functional collaboration, and overall operational performance
- Engineering Workforce Transformation: Conducting capability/maturity assessments to evaluate current skill sets, redesigning roles to align with evolving business and technology needs, driving targeted upskilling initiatives, defining clear metrics for engineering excellence, and enabling adoption of modern tool chains
- Cloud Migration and Modernization: Development and execution of cloud strategies, including cloud suitability & placement, migration roadmaps, and modernization approaches to optimize value and scalability
- IT and Cloud FinOps: Performing IT and cloud financial analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO), ROI assessments, controlling and optimizing IT costs across the full breadth of technology products, services and platforms
- AI Strategy: Driving innovation and technology adoption, assessing current platforms and integrating into NextGen technologies ( GenAI / Agentic AI, etc.) to deliver measurable business value, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic growth objectives
- IT Transformation and Sustainability: Shaping and executing enterprise-wide strategies that leverage innovation, process optimization, and effective change management, enabling business growth, and long-term environmental responsibility
- Data Center Strategy: Assessment of current data centers & infrastructure, defining and executing data center strategies, including hybrid models, decommission/exit planning, migration pathways, and optimization for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Resiliency: Design and implementation of cloud-based resiliency frameworks, incorporating risk assessments, developing multi-cloud continuity plans, integrating cybersecurity measures, and establishing comprehensive disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Prior experience in Technology / Cloud / AI Strategy & Consulting, Product Management
- Experience in Core Consulting: Structured approach to problem solving and ability to perform root cause analysis of client problems, interact and build client relationships, drive client interviews/workshops, perform primary/secondary research, etc.
- Experience in enterprise technology including Cloud, AI, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Data Modelling, BI, Mainframe Modernization
- Knowledge and experience in GenAI concepts, industry use cases, and the ability to evaluate GenAI applicability based on client requirements
- Understanding of Cloud, on-premises Infrastructure, virtual machines, and operating systems
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture including integration of software components such as web / application servers, middleware, RDBMS, development environments, operational components, and security products
- Experience in configuring, building, and migrating client business processes to new technology platforms, supporting refactoring, re-platforming, and re-hosting as needed
- Prior involvement in pre-sales activities, proposal development, and RFP responses, including solution design, client pitch decks, and technical documentation and / or interacting with Global stakeholders
- Certifications: Entry level Cloud Certifications (Strategist / Practitioner / Architect) / Agile & Project Management / Technology & Architecture / Data, AI or GenAI / FinOps Practitioner Certifications
Education:
- MBA or MS from a premier school in India or abroad
