ERP Functional Manager

Reports To:

Head of IT / Chief Information Officer

Role Overview:

The ERP Functional Manager will lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of ERP solutions across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in understanding business processes, translating requirements into functional solutions, managing cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• ERP Strategy & Roadmap

• Develop and maintain the ERP strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Plan ERP upgrades, enhancements, and future implementations.

• Business Process Analysis

• Analyse, document, and improve end-to-end business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, HR, and other departments.

• Identify process gaps and propose solutions leveraging ERP capabilities.

• Project Management

• Lead ERP implementation and improvement projects.

• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

• Solution Design & Configuration

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications.

• Configure ERP modules and workflows.
• Ensure data integrity and process standardization.

• Training & Change Management

• Develop training materials and deliver user training.

• Support change management initiatives to ensure adoption.

• Support & Maintenance

• Oversee day-to-day ERP operations.

• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.

• Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure ERP processes adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8–12 years

  of experience in ERP functional roles, including at least

  3 years in a managerial or lead capacity

  .
• Proven experience in full-cycle ERP implementations and upgrades.
• Strong understanding of core business processes (Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Sales, etc.).
• Familiarity with integration between ERP and other enterprise applications.

• Knowledge of best practices in ERP governance and change management.

Preferred:

• Experience with modern ERP systems such as

  SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or Odoo ERP

  (including functional knowledge, configuration, and customization).
• Certification in relevant ERP platforms is a plus.
