- Conduct and supervise testing as per standard operating procedures (SOPs), national/international standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, BIS), and client requirements.
- Ensure the validity and technical accuracy of test results.
- Review and verify test data and reports prior to release.
- Ensure all activities comply with NABL (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) standards.
- Maintain proper records of all tests performed, equipment calibration, and environmental conditions.
- Assist in internal audits, management reviews, and proficiency testing (PT) or inter-laboratory comparison (ILC) programs.
- Participate in implementing and maintaining the laboratory’s quality system.
- Monitor test deviations, uncertainty calculations, and measurement traceability.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities.
- Ensure instruments and equipment are calibrated, maintained, and functioning properly.
- Assist in validation/verification of new test methods and equipment.
- Supervise and guide junior engineers and lab technicians.
- Provide training and mentoring to lab personnel on technical procedures and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients for technical clarifications, sample status, and report delivery.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to the HSE roles, responsibilities & accountabilities as defined in MS-0047700-HSE Roles Responsibilities & Authorities.
- Comply and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Experience & Further Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech In [Mechanical / Electrical]
- Minimum 6–8years of experience in a NABL-accredited lab,
- knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and lab management systems.
- Proficiency in using standard testing instruments and software.
