Job Title: Solar Street Light & LiFePO₄ Battery Assembly TechnicianDepartment: Production / ManufacturingLocation: [e.g., Pune, Maharashtra]Reports To: Production Supervisor / Factory ManagerJob Summary:

The Solar Street Light & LiFePO₄ Battery Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and ensuring the quality of solar street lights and lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The role involves handling electrical and mechanical components, maintaining production efficiency, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring compliance with company and certification standards such as MNRE, BIS, CE, and RoHS.

Key Responsibilities:1. Solar Street Light Assembly

• Assemble solar street light systems including:
• LED light fixtures
• Solar PV modules
• Charge controllers
• Poles and brackets
• Cables and connectors
• Perform electrical wiring and connections as per design layouts.
• Conduct functional testing for illumination, charging, and automation (Dusk to Dawn operations).
• Ensure waterproofing and proper fitting of outdoor fixtures.

2. LiFePO₄ Battery Pack Assembly

• Assemble battery packs using LiFePO₄ cells, BMS (Battery Management System), and connectors.
• Perform spot welding, insulation, balancing, and final wiring.
• Test cell voltages, pack voltages, current capacity, and protection circuit functionality.
• Follow SOPs for charging/discharging and ensure battery health and safety standards.
• Label and pack finished battery units properly for traceability.

3. Quality Control & Testing

• Conduct visual inspection, electrical testing, and performance verification of each assembled product.
• Maintain detailed testing and inspection records.
• Identify defects, analyze root causes, and report to the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure all products meet technical specifications and quality benchmarks.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily production logs, component usage reports, and testing data.
• Support the team in updating production SOPs and process improvements.
• Assist in stock verification and coordination with the inventory team.

5. Safety & Maintenance

• Follow all safety procedures for handling LiFePO₄ batteries and electrical tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Report equipment faults and assist in maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical.
• Training in solar or battery technology is an advantage.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in solar light or lithium battery manufacturing preferred.
• Freshers with technical background may be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of DC electrical systems and solar lighting components.
• Basic understanding of BMS, LiFePO₄ chemistry, and battery safety.
• Ability to use multimeters, crimping tools, and spot welders.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Teamwork and communication abilities.
• Responsibility toward quality and safety standards.

Work Environment:

• Indoor assembly and testing facility.
• Occasional outdoor testing or field installation support.
• Physical activity involved (lifting, bending, assembling).
• Standard working hours with possible overtime during high production demand.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
