Electrical Design Engineer


NOVARGI Group, as a highly specialized Process Package and Plant Contractor for the Energy Sector, we contribute to better tomorrow with our process and engineering solutions. The Company is acting worldwide from our headquarters in Europe (Spain) and our centers in India, China and Middle East leading projects in the Upstream, Downstream, Circular Economy and Transition Energy.


NOVARGI branch, is mainly focused on Detail Engineering activities for the whole group and Project management activities.


Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Calculations:

  • Prepare and review

    Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

    with comprehensive protection and metering requirements.
  • Perform detailed design calculations for electrical equipment such as:
  • Transformers
  • Emergency Diesel Generators
  • Capacitor Banks
  • AC UPS Systems
  • Battery & Battery Chargers
  • Neutral Grounding Resistors
  • Execute detailed design for systems like

    earthing

    ,

    lighting

    ,

    cable sizing

    , and

    cable tray/trench sizing

    .


Documentation and Scheduling:

  • Create and review electrical consumer lists and cable schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of electrical layouts, including:
  • Earthing
  • Lighting
  • Cable tray/trench
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Telephone systems
  • Public address systems


System Understanding and Review:

  • Analyze and validate

    Substation Automation Systems (SAS)

    designs and configurations.
  • Review and manage vendor and subcontractor documents for technical compliance.


Material and Vendor Coordination:

  • Prepare requisitions for electrical equipment and bulk materials.
  • Evaluate vendor offers, develop

    technical bid tabulations

    , and participate in vendor document reviews.


Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to address inputs and resolve technical issues.
  • Actively participate in project

    model reviews

    and technical workshops.


Cost Estimation and Support:

  • Prepare

    cost estimates

    and

    quantity take-offs

    for electrical systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and guidance to field engineers during project execution



Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in

    Industrial Engineering

    , preferably in

    Electrical Engineering

    .

Experience:

  • 5+ years

    in electrical engineering within the

    Oil & Gas

    ,

    Chemical

    ,

    Refining

    , or

    Petrochemical

    industries.
  • Minimum

    6 years

    as an

    Electrical Design Engineer

    .

Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in software such as

    ETAP, SEL, Dialux

    and other Lighting software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of

    IEC codes

    and industry standards.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in

    English

    (verbal and written).
  • Ability to foster communication within diverse cultural environments.
