eCommerce Category Manager

This is a high-impact role for candidates from core online product brands or high-growth D2C businesses. Join a dynamic team with the freedom to innovate, champion new product launches, and influence the future of digital commerce.

Key Responsibilities :

Category Expansion & Growth Road mapping

  • Own and execute aggressive category expansion strategies, identifying and introducing new products that align with evolving customer needs.
  • Develop clear, actionable

    3–5-year category growth roadmaps

    , setting and achieving milestones for assortment breadth, sales volume, and market share.
  • Explore opportunities within the existing category and strategically unlock adjacent product spaces to accelerate growth.

Data & Analytics Leadership

  • Leverage advanced analytics and BI tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to inform strategic decisions, track KPIs, and monitor category performance.
  • Use AI-powered platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Data Robot) for forecasting, automation, and insight generation to support expansion goals.
  • Continuously analyze competitive data, market trends, and customer feedback to guide category development.

Automation & Tech-First Execution

  • Utilize automation tools and scripts to seamlessly scale catalogs, optimize pricing, and manage channel promotions.
  • Harness GenAI solutions for efficient product content creation and keyword strategy expansion as the category evolves.
  • Test and adopt innovative digital tools to support flexible, scalable category management.

Marketplace Partnerships & Negotiation

  • Build and nurture deep relationships with vendors, marketplaces, and supply partners to expand assortment and ensure optimal terms.
  • Collaborate strategically with key account managers for joint business planning, exclusive launches, and category growth events.

Speed, Experimentation & Innovation

  • Design and implement rapid experiments to validate new product launches, promotional tactics, and assortment changes.
  • Prepare and execute robust go-to-market strategies for peak events (Prime Day, Big Billion Day, festive sales) focused on category expansion.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging cross-functional inputs and agile execution in category development.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in category or brand management, with a preference for candidates from online-first or D2C product brands.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product category expansion, strategic planning, and roadmap implementation.
  • Track record of owning P&L and delivering category growth in high-volume digital retail settings.
  • Deep proficiency with Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Tech-forward, comfortable with AI/automation platforms for scaling online categories.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and execution skills; thrives in data-heavy, fast-growth environments.
  • Growth mindset, customer obsession, and strong bias for innovative action.
