POSITION SUMMARY:

To lead Zildjian’s eCommerce Account Sales management with Thomann directly and Amazon UK/EU through our Distributors. The eCommerce Account Sales Manager is responsible and oversees the development and implementation of companywide initiatives that improve UK/EU eCommerce Dealer(s) & Consumer relations, brand loyalty and execution of Company strategies and tactics with Thomann’s eCommerce platform and Amazon (via Distributors) and ultimately achieve sales target. The position leads the critical link between the Zildjian Company and Thomann to include all x-functional connections; Executive Team, Marketing, Sales, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Order Entry & Fulfillment, Operations and Supply Chain (3PL & Local Distributor Secondary Supplier). The eCommerce Sales Manager will be the main contact with Distributors (directly and/or as a secondary supplier) in conjunction with the EMEA Sales Manager to monitor sales and marketing activities with Amazon in line with the Company strategy. This role has budget responsibility.

Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing Support:

  • Establish and achieve Annual Sales Operating Plan (AOP), specific to Revenue, Margin & Share for Thomann & Amazon UK & EU
  • Develop & implement sales & marketing spending plan for Thomann and Amazon UK & EU (with Distributors) manage budget to stay within spending limits.
  • Evaluate and propose products and pricing to Thomann, managing the new product introduction and product obsoletion timing and budgeting
  • Design, develop and execute effective sales/marketing programs for both Thomann and Amazon (in conjunction with Distributors and EMEA Sales Manager)
  • Make sure online content is optimal on Thomann and Amazon websites
  • Negotiate favorable agreements with Thomann according to Zildjian objectives.
  • Monitor the competition and market data/trends to ensure optimization of sales opportunities. Provide competitive product analysis
  • Build relationships with Thomann senior management and penetrate all levels/functional departments of Thomann to execute account plans and the same with UK & EU Distributors supporting Amazon
  • Work closely with Thomann Executive Team, Customer Service, Product Manager, and other Company managers to achieve sales, profit and market share objectives
  • Visit Thomann headquarters on a regular basis.
  • Participate in monthly “Business Review” via teleconference and summarize talking points in advance of meeting for Thomann and Amazon
  • Prepare and present semi-annual business reviews for Thomann and Amazon.
  • Conduct regular product training for customer sales personnel in stores, in call-centers and at regional and trade events.
  • Help coordinate artist events at Thomann facilities, i.e. clinics, assisting in logistics and communications.
  • Participate in Management planning meetings, Zoom and telephone calls with Headquarters as required
  • Retrieve and analyze sell through to Consumers on a monthly basis by item and category performance

Order Fulfillment: IT, Finance, Supply Chain & 3PL:

  • Responsible for oversight of customer orders, required lead-times, order accuracy, the shipment schedule adhering to customer routing requirements and deadlines for successful outcome.
  • In cooperation with Sales Support, ensures communication process with freight forwarders and other partners involved to maximize Order fulfillment.
  • Develop monthly sales forecasts for Thomann and work with Demand Planning personnel at Zildjian HQ to anticipate demand and help resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure the customer inventory is sufficient to meet retail and consumer demand. Monitor in-market inventory levels and provide proactive analysis and actions necessary to drive efficient growth.
  • Assist with timely collection of Accounts Receivables as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and Supply Chain Directors to ensure systems, processes, pricing, and roles & responsibilities are driving enterprise demand fulfillment productivity and efficiently.

Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:

Undergraduate Degree in business or music. MBA or MS in Sales/Marketing preferred. Minimum of 8 to 10 years sales experience. Minimum of 3 to 5 years sales management experience preferred along with a demonstrated record of success selling to key decision makers at a chain or “big box” headquarters level for a major consumer packaged goods company. Experience in developing and managing promotions and related support budgets.

TECHNICAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, and/or LICENSES:

Strong computer skills to include business application software, Windows-based PC, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PP), and web-based/EDI./3PL.Developing a working proficiency in Si-Sense is necessary Product knowledge and/or drumming performance desirable.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Brings a strategic, creative and analytical mindset to customer experience solutions and initiatives that makes a difference to our customers.
