Detailed description:ECAD/PCB Engineering Manager is responsible to lead a team of Design Engineers to develop and optimize PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) for different automotive products. This requires technical expertise in PCB design with strong leadership and project management skills. As PCB Design Manager, is also responsible for overseeing the full design lifecycle, ensuring high-quality designs, timely project delivery, and the efficient use of resources (On Cost, On Quality and On Time).

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership by leading, mentoring, and developing a team of PCB designers, setting goals, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative environment
• Project Management by coordinating resources for PCB layout development aligned to KPIs (on time, on quality on cost) and high sense level of urgency to manage urgent and critical projects
• Collaboration, participation in any global activity related directly or indirectly to ECAD, such as strategy, structure, head count, forecast and budget.
• Strategic Planning, being accountable and responsible to develop HW PCB/ECAD strategies to improve process and efficiency. Staying ahead of industry trends, driving innovation, and improve design quality
• Being accountable in cross check and controls quality of the PCB layouts globally
• Manage third party (when necessary) resources by maintaining KPIs
  

Supporting Activities:

• Participate in project alignment meeting between HW, PWB and EMC-SITA, Thermal, Manufacturing and Mechanical teams to agree on the activities performed by each discipline.
• Support other regions with any available resources.
• Support RFQ process with ECAD resource time estimation.
• Support and/or conduct technical and process trainings globally.
• Support HW Director for any ECAD activity related such as VPRS closing on time, process revision, head count definition and budget
• RFQ support
  

• Approval for process changes impacting directly on CAD Libraries Development and ECAD
• Approval from ECAD perspective for estimates in RFQ/EQI
• Approvals for Go/No Go decisions for PCB fabrication globally Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in PCB design, with 5+ years in a leadership or management role
• Technical Expertise:
• Expertise in PCB design tools such as Mentor Graphics (preferred), Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro,, or similar.
• In-depth understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies
• Strong knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed PCB design
• Experience with multi-layer PCB designs, HDI boards, and flexible/rigid-flex designs
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testing (DFT) principles.
• Leadership Skills:
• Proven track record of successfully managing and mentoring a design team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Experience in project management, resource allocation, and budget management
