Right along with Target’s distinctive retail brand, we are constantly improving and innovating our digital shopping experience. Are you ready to excel in the fast-changing retail environment? Are you a customer service enthusiast who’s curious about the guest and can see the shopping journey through their eyes? Then you’ll have success on the Digital Strategy & Platform team, whose goal is to offer guests a seamless online shopping experience across our platforms—including Target.com and the store network’s fulfillment capabilities. Here, you’ll collaborate to create and implement the digital strategies that enrich the online experience through the right mix of personalization, simplicity and intuitiveness. Your ideas will support Target in complementing the beloved in-store shopping interaction with a convenient, reliable and instantly gratifying digital experience.

Marketplace Strategy & Vision

  • Define and drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for the 3P marketplace, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Develop frameworks for balancing customer experience, seller growth, and platform economics.
  • Identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and white spaces to innovate in marketplace capabilities.


Seller & Partner Experience

  • Lead development of the Seller Portal and related tools for onboarding, catalog management, pricing, fulfillment, performance insights, and compliance.
  • Partner with business, operations, engineering, and design to streamline seller experience while meeting customer expectations for trust and quality.


Customer Experience

  • Ensure marketplace products enhance customer trust, convenience, and value.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize assortment quality, product discovery, pricing intelligence, and fulfillment reliability.


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with engineering, design, operations, finance, and business development to deliver innovative solutions at scale.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, setting a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.


Data-Driven Decisions

  • Define KPIs for marketplace success (GMV, active sellers, customer NPS, fulfillment speed, etc.).
  • Use data and experimentation (A/B testing, cohort analysis) to refine features and improve adoption.
  • Drive AI/ML powered insights to enhance areas such as pricing, fraud prevention, and personalization.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on product experience or equivalent domain experience, with atleast 5 years in leadership role.
  • Proven success in building and scaling

    marketplaces, platforms, or complex multi-sided ecosystem

  • Deep understanding of

    marketplace economics, seller ecosystems, and buyer behavior.

  • Strong technical aptitude, experience working closely with business, engineering and data science and cross functional enterprise teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while driving operational excellence.
