Job Description

Role Overview:

FICO is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Platform Product Management to lead the development and execution of product roadmaps for our horizontal platform capabilities, focused primarily on the financial services industry. This role is essential to advancing FICO’s position as the leading provider of analytics and decision management solutions powered by AI that empower businesses to make smart and fair decisions. The ideal candidate will blend deep industry knowledge with a strong grasp of analytics platforms, domain policies and regulatory frameworks to deliver innovative, compliant, and scalable platform offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the Platform Product Management function for FICO’s horizontal SaaS platform capabilities, driving innovation technology aligned with business goals and market trends.
  • Lead the definition and prioritization of platform technology roadmaps to incorporate emerging industry-leading technologies such as advanced analytics, and automation within the regulatory framework of financial services (e.g., risk compliance, fraud detection and prevention, credit decisioning).
  • Ensure inclusion of fundamental platform capabilities including:
  • Observability & Monitoring: Real-time system health monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting to ensure reliability and rapid incident resolution.
  • Data Ingestion & Integration: Scalable, flexible data pipelines supporting multiple data sources, normalization, and enrichment.
  • Advanced Analytics & AI/ML: Real-time and batch analytics, AI/ML model lifecycle management, and explainability for regulatory compliance.
  • Decision Management & Automation: Policy-driven, scalable decision workflows with configurable business rules and scenario simulation.
  • Security, Compliance & Governance: Role-based access control, Policy role-based access control, encryption, audit trails, and integration with domain-specific global regulatory frameworks.
  • Subscription & Usage-Based Billing: Accurate metering and billing of platform usage with support for flexible pricing models.
  • Ecosystem Integration & Collaboration: APIs and tools enabling customer and partner integrations and collaboration.
  • Scalability & Resilience: Cloud-native scalability and disaster recovery to ensure high availability.
  • User Experience & Self-Service: Intuitive dashboards and self-service tools enabling customers to analyze usage, manage risk, and optimize fraud prevention effectively.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, user experience, architecture, sales, marketing, legal, privacy & security, trust, and compliance teams to deliver solutions meeting industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Build partnerships with financial institutions, regulators, ecosystem partners, and industry bodies to anticipate shifts and influence policies.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and customer needs to continuously refine and differentiate FICO’s platform offerings.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-impact platform product management team fostering innovation and customer obsession.
  • Drive continuous improvement of product planning processes, leveraging data and customer insights for transparency and strategic alignment.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years product management or platform product management experience, preferably in financial services technology, risk management, or analytics platforms.
  • Success in driving SaaS platform incubation (zero to one product management mindset)
  • Proven success developing platform product strategies for regulated industries, especially financial services.
  • Ability to translate market trends, regulatory changes, and technology advances into actionable product plans.
  • Experience collaborating in matrixed, global organizations with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong communication skills, able to influence executives, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of financial services regulations, compliance, and risk frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or related; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred:

  • Experience with AI/ML, decision management, or fraud/risk analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with innovations in financial services.
