Job Description

As a Director - Employee Relations/ Industrial Relations at Zepto, your role will involve Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving, Key Understanding of Manpower Dynamics, and Liasoning with Govt officials and Labour Laws. You will be based in Bengaluru and report to the SD Ops Strategy. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for maintaining industrial relations and employee relations as per the guidelines and the purview of the law. Your knowledge of labour law and compliance will be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with the city teams and HR team to maintain a positive and compliant workplace by handling employee grievances, conducting investigations, managing conflicts, and ensuring adherence to labor laws and company policies. - Act as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, mediating conflicts and resolving grievances in a timely and effective manner. - Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and disciplinary issues, ensuring fair and consistent processes. - Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies by staying updated on legal changes and providing guidance to management. - Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating workplace policies, procedures, and programs related to employee conduct and relations. - Proactively identify potential risks and develop strategies to prevent future employee relations issues and mitigate legal exposure. - Coach managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and other employee relations topics. - Implement initiatives such as surveys, feedback channels, and recognition programs to promote a positive and engaged workforce. - Prevent any type of unionization in the organization and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive situations with diplomacy and integrity. **Qualifications Required:** - MBA-HR or any HR-related specialization. - 8-10 years of experience in Human Resources preferably from a warehouse and supply chain background. - Experience in blue-collar workforce management is preferred. Specific experience with ER/IR is a prerequisite.
