Description and Requirements

This position is for a DevSecOps Manager in the Solutions & Services Group (SSG). You will work with Lenovo Product Development teams globally to integrate security into every phase of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring alignment with Lenovo standards and industry good practice. The role emphasizes automation, secure coding practices, and proactive threat mitigation within cloud-native and hybrid environments.

You will join a growing team of security professionals to protect and maintain the effectiveness of managed service capabilities, with a strong focus on collaboration between development, operations, and security teams. This role will work hand in hand with product managers, architects, development teams and other security professionals to deliver best in class product security.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will help to provide new solution support, working with deal engagement teams and solution architects to provide subject matter expertise on secure application design, development and validation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assessing and advising design, service, operations teams on security requirements and implementation for new and existing services.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and information security teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and application architectures.
  • Champion secure coding standards and conduct code reviews to identify vulnerabilities early.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code security policies and cloud configuration baselines.
  • Drive adoption of security automation tools to streamline vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Participate in incident response for application and cloud security events, collaborating with engineering teams for rapid remediation.
  • Work closely with IT and other stakeholders to ensure a multi-layered approach to cyber security is adopted, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT services
  • Provide training and guidance to developers on secure coding and DevSecOps principles.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve security processes based on feedback and emerging threats.
  • Create, develop and maintain security policies and practices

What You'll Need

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic organisation covering a variety of complex and bespoke solutions
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural techniques to prevent, mitigate, and manage security threats.
  • Experience in operational cybersecurity management, especially within or alongside Managed Service Providers.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and integrating security controls.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native security practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and related security best practices.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (English) across varying levels of the organization with stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to think of long-term strategic solutions as well as immediate resolutions to problems.
  • Create, develop, and maintain security policies and practices.
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and respond within defined SLAs and maintain composure.
  • High degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and confidence; represents the company and its management team with the highest level of professionalism.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Performing code reviews and reviewing the results of static analysis tools
  • Working with geo-diverse teams across different time zones
  • Strong collaboration skills over application sharing platforms and teleconferencing
  • Security certifications: EC-Council Certified DevSecOps Engineer (ECDE), SANS SEC540, CISSP, CSSLP, or similar desired.
