Key Responsibilities
- DevOps Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the DevOps function to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Collaborate closely with software development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline code deployment and release management.
- Establish DevOps best practices, performance metrics, and reliability goals for the organization.
- Mentor and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and ownership.
- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
- Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Leverage AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) to enhance performance and operational reliability.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for reproducibility and consistency.
- Optimize cloud costs through right-sizing, automation, and efficient resource utilization.
- Kubernetes & Containerization
- Design and manage large-scale Kubernetes clusters (on AWS EKS or self-managed) to ensure high availability and security.
- Oversee containerized application deployments using Docker and Helm charts.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks within Kubernetes environments using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
- Drive continuous improvement of container orchestration, resource management, and service reliability.
- Automation, CI/CD & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes across environments.
- Implement observability solutions to proactively monitor system performance, detect anomalies, and ensure uptime.
- Ensure disaster recovery, backup strategies, and incident management processes are robust and well-documented.
- Security & Compliance
- Enforce security best practices across all DevOps operations, including secrets management, IAM policies, and network security.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments across infrastructure and deployments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8-15 years of total experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within a DevOps environment.
- Deep hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and DevOps automation tools.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational efficiency.
- Experience managing large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices
