We are looking for a skilled and experienced DevOps Backend Developer who will be responsible for developing robust backend services while integrating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and scalable deployment strategies. This hybrid role demands a deep understanding of backend development principles combined with DevOps tools and practices, ensuring seamless collaboration between software development and operations. Key Responsibilities Backend Development : Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java. Develop scalable, high-performance server-side logic and databases. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality applications. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices. Optimize application performance and scalability. DevOps Responsibilities Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI. Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi. Automate deployment and scaling processes on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Monitor application and infrastructure performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic. Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes or ECS. Handle secrets and environment configurations securely using tools like Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Doppler. Implement logging, alerting, and tracing solutions for production observability. Technical Skills Required Backend Development : Strong experience with at least one backend language: Node.js, Python, Go, Java, or .NET Core Experience with RESTful API development and GraphQL (preferred) Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB Experience with ORM tools (e., Sequelize, SQLAlchemy, Hibernate) DevOps / Cloud Engineering Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes, EKS, or AKS Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI Experience with cloud providers: AWS (preferred), Azure, GCP Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools: Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana, Datadog Understanding of networking, load balancing, and service discovery in cloud-native environments Scripting & Automation Strong scripting skills in Shell, Bash, or Python Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for configuration management is a plus Security & Compliance Knowledge of DevSecOps practices Familiarity with secure coding, vulnerability scanning, and role-based access control (RBAC) Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 8+ years of experience in backend development and DevOps practices Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Certification in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) is a plus Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Passion for automation, performance optimization, and continuous improvement (ref:hirist.tech) Show more Show less
