Design Manager

This position is ideal for professionals with deep industry expertise who are ready to influence global trends while mentoring a team of designers.

• Lead and manage the Design & Development team to deliver seasonal collections.
• Conduct in-depth research on global fashion trends, consumer preferences, fabrics, trims, and silhouettes.
• Guide creation of mood boards, range plans, and buyer presentations.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, sampling, and production teams to translate buyer briefs into commercially viable collections.
• Oversee fit reviews, sample approvals, and design detailing to ensure product excellence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international buyers, presenting seasonal concepts and collections.
• Mentor, inspire, and upskill junior designers to elevate design capability.
• Support long-term design strategy aligned with CTA’s sustainability and growth vision.

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design from NIFT, NID, Pearl Academy, or equivalent institute.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in apparel design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of working with international fashion buyers/brands.
• Strong creative vision with commercial acumen.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and design software.
• Deep knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and global market requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
