Field of Expertise : Vacuum Furnaces & Equipments
Experience : Minimum 15 -20 years’ experience in the field of Vacuum equipments design; Furnace design and engineering, Calculations, Modelling is preferred
Handled a team of 5-10 people
Application Industry Heat Treatment & Metallurgy (Aerospace, Automotive, Tools and Dies, etc.)
Job Location Navi Mumbai, India
Work days 5-6 days
Principal Responsibilities:
- Advocates technical solutions and execution methods in response to sales offers (private and tenders) and by respecting customer’s specifications
- Involves in the sizing and costing of technical offers with the sales manager, and pre-approves them
- Monitor all the projects on a weekly basis and ensures the proper technical support is provided
- to the assembly/service support teams and the customers
- Provides engineering management and technical analysis of projects to include but not limited to: design, calculation, component specification, cost estimation and technical service
- Be an active participant as part of a multi-disciplinary team to make conceptual design and development for implementing innovative/upgraded solutions
- Interface with co-workers and customers as part of the design, development, implementation
- activities and delivery cycle associated with equipments build
- Provide analytical problem-solving support to the assembly factory/assembly lines
- and challenges associated with equipment fabrication/assembly/quality/tests, and installation
- & commissioning and technical service activities
- Compiles the complete technical/design and administrative dossier/docs for all customer accounts
- Review engineering and design for future planning in line with Company’s strategy plans
Qualification & Technical Competencies:
- Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Design
- Design and analysis of mechanical/electrical structures/ low/high/ultra-high vacuum systems
- High Pressure Vessel design/construction
- High Temperature Hot Zone design/construction
- Heating Elements/ Heat-Shield or Insulation design and construction
- Heat Exchanger design/construction
- Hot-zone support structure/Hearth bar design/construction
- Knowledge about Heat treatment, brazing, carburizing, hardening, annealing, melting, etc.
- Knowledge and application of various type of materials, surface and thermal treatments
- for low/ high /ultra-high vacuum
- Hands on aptitude with an understanding of standard design practices and manufacturing techniques
- Advanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software - preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works
- 3D design for vacuum chambers and systems
- Knowledge and application of numerical modelling in solid mechanics
- Thermal exchange calculation / Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysis
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum process systems, electrical components,
- and automation
