About This Role
We are seeking a Senior Ab Initio Developer to lead and deliver high-performance ETL solutions across multiple projects. This role involves designing and implementing robust data integration processes, managing environments, and ensuring compliance with best practices. You will work on complex data migration, performance tuning, and automation initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.What you will do
- Design and develop ETL solutions using Ab Initio, including high-level and low-level design.
- Lead technical initiatives within Ab Initio toolset (Conduct>IT, DQ Framework, PDL, Metadata Management).
- Write, debug, and optimise Ab Initio graphs and Unix Shell scripts.
- Manage project sandboxes, version control, and access management.
- Perform root cause analysis for data migration issues and implement fixes.
- Support ad-hoc data extract requests and optimise migration processes.
- Ensure defect-free deliverables and compliance with SLA parameters.
- Monitor system health and perform housekeeping to prevent incidents.
- Collaborate with other teams for issue resolution and process improvements.
- Provide on-call support and work in UK shift hours (12:30 PM – 8:30 PM IST), including weekends and holidays on rotation.
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in Ab Initio development with exposure to production support and development projects.
- Expertise in data analysis, database design, and ETL architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Ab Initio standards, EME structure, versioning, and best practices.
- Proficient in Unix, Shell scripting, and Oracle.
- Experience in managing large projects and delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working in diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Desirable: DevOps, Data Warehousing, BI, ITIL concepts, and telecom domain knowledge.
