The Deputy Manager will be responsible for the on-ground execution of entrepreneurship-related programs and events at Ashoka University. Working closely with the Senior Manager, this role focuses on managing events, coordinating with students, and ensuring smooth delivery of CfE’s initiatives. It is ideal for someone who is highly organized, student-centric, and thrives in fast-paced environments. he Deputy Manager will be the engine behind CfE’s on-ground entrepreneurship initiatives ensuring events are flawlessly executed, students remain engaged, and the entrepreneurial culture at the campus is brought to life every day
•Lead end-to-end execution of marquee entrepreneurship events such as Startup Ashoka, Entrepreneurship Haat, Entrepreneurship Weekender, and other workshops, bootcamps, and speaker sessions.
•Handle all logistics including scheduling, venue setup, vendor coordination, registrations, and student participation.
•Maintain high-quality standards in event design, branding, and delivery.
•Serve as the primary contact point for student societies, clubs, and individuals interested in entrepreneurship.
•Coordinate with student volunteers, fellows, and organizing committees to co-create vibrant entrepreneurship programs.
•Facilitate feedback loops with students to ensure programs are engaging, relevant, and impactful.
•Support in inviting, hosting, and managing external speakers, mentors, and panellists.
•Ensure seamless communication and hospitality for guests during on-campus events.
•Maintain a database of guest speakers, mentors, and partners for future engagements.
•Assist in budgeting, vendor management, and procurement for events.
•Maintain documentation, reports, and impact tracking for CfE’s programs and activities.
•Coordinate communication and outreach (posters, emailers, social media collateral) to maximize student participation.
•Provide execution support for strategic initiatives designed by the Senior Manager / Assistant Director.
•Ensure timely implementation of projects, with accountability for delivery and attention to detail.
•Share insights and on-ground learnings from student interactions to help improve program design.
•Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business, communications, or related fields preferred.
•3–6 years of professional experience in event management, student engagement, program coordination, or higher education.
•Demonstrated experience in managing events, working with students, or coordinating with external partners.
•Exposure to entrepreneurship or startup ecosystem preferred.
•Strong organizational and project management skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with students and external stakeholders.
•Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
•Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
•Comfort with working late evenings/weekends during major events.
