Position Overview:

Dean – School of Management &  Commerce

teaching, research, industry  collaboration, global outreach

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic leadership across all Management and Commerce programs. • Design, review, and enhance curricula in alignment with NEP 2020, OBE, and industry  trends. 

• Promote research excellence, case writing, consultancy, and publication in reputed  journals. 

• Drive institutional accreditations (NAAC, NBA) and ensure compliance with  UGC/AICTE norms. 

• Develop strong industry partnerships for internships, placements, guest lectures, and  projects. 

• Mentor faculty, foster leadership development, and promote continuous professional  growth. 

• Supervise budgeting, infrastructure enhancement, and resource allocation. • Initiate international collaborations, student/faculty exchange, and global learning  experiences. 

• Encourage entrepreneurship, innovation, and practical exposure through incubation and  competitions. 

• Ensure student success through effective mentoring, grievance redressal, and academic  support systems. 

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Visionary leadership in Management/Commerce education. 

• Strong understanding of accreditation standards (NAAC, NBA), academic audits, and  quality assurance. 

• Proven research and publication record (Scopus, ABDC, UGC CARE). • Ability to build and sustain academic-industry alliances and MoUs. 

• Excellent communication, team-building, and people management skills. • Strategic thinking, innovation-driven approach, and global academic perspective.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Ph.D. in Management, Commerce, or a related discipline. 

15 years

Desirable:

• Membership in professional bodies (AIMA, FICCI, ICAI, etc.). 

• Experience in institutional rankings (NIRF, QS) and international accreditations  (AACSB, AMBA). 

• Exposure to entrepreneurship development cells, incubation centers, and live industry  projects. 

• Global academic exposure through collaborations, conferences, or fellowships.
