Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions focused on risk analytics and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish clear project objectives, develop data-driven hypotheses, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collect, preprocess, and analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources.
- Apply statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modelling techniques to uncover insights and develop robust risk models.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and anomalies within data and propose data-driven solutions.
- Design and deploy predictive models-including regression, clustering, and time series forecasting-to address risk-related challenges.
- Work with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data availability, quality, and reliability for analysis and modelling.
- Communicate analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
- Stay current with methodologies and best practices in statistical analysis, machine learning, and risk analytics.
- Support the integrity and availability of risk-related data to drive informed decision-making.
 
Skills and Competencies
- Strong technical proficiency and analytical thinking with knowledge of statistical analysis and anomaly detection techniques.
- Ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with building and deploying data science and data engineering solutions using industry-standard methods (e.g., MLOps, Git).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Understanding of experimental design, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
 
Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a data science role, preferably with exposure to risk analytics and anomaly detection.
- Prior experience working on risk models is required.
- Background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling techniques.
- Experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Experience initiating and completing data science projects with minimal guidance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical experience with statistical modelling and machine learning techniques.
- Experience in handling and analyzing large-scale structured and unstructured data sets.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is considered a plus.
